No doubt you will now get a flood of “Kony 2012 is a scam” responses. There are heaps of articles for and against. My reasonable amount of research suggests that although Invisible Children present an over simplified picture of the situation they are a genuine and ethical aid agency. Other children’s welfare agencies I trust and respect hold them in high regard. Link to an article that appears to be mostly neutral http://t.co/TL2gY1Sx
Awareness is the first step, Kony 2012 is raising that. Well shared!
Thanks Angie,
Your link to the article is a good balanced response to the campaign. Appreciate it. Things are always more complex than we would like them to be.
Then again, perhaps they are not.
Any charity that does not allow its books to be seen by external auditors (thereby giving it a CharityNavigator rating of two stars) is not one that should get money.
Also? Why is a white kid the feature of a video about northern Uganda?
Also also? I have found the quality of your posts to be declining recently and this one, being a completely off topic bit of fauxtivism has just cemented my resolve to remove your blog from my feed reader.
Sorry I’m not meeting your expectations. if you are looking for Time magazine you are certainly in the wrong place.

No more medicare, user pays, just like in the U.S. Also an excuse to import foreigners, give them citizinship, then use there citizinship to increase Australia’s international debt borrowing. No, you won’t read that...

On our side, at least we know we have given whats the best for them. We can’t touch every patient’s lives always.

Leigh said: inspiring piece Ian! thanks. And Stephen, great summary too! “The amazing thing about us is, no information is too important for our concern; no job is too low to tackle ourselves. We are the proverbial jack of all practitioners.” love it
